Why choose Northfork?

1) Northfork Has Been Hosting Group Outings since 2005

With lots of activities to choose from and skilled tour guides, our guests leave with experiences to last a life time and a desire to come a back for more!

2) High Quality Riding Instructors

At Northfork, the quality of instruction far surpasses that of other summer horse camps. Campers have the opportunity to learn directly from quarter horse trainer Christie Showerman, who brings 40+ years of experience teaching riders of all skill levels. Christie is the assistant coach of the Michigan State University Stock Seat Equestrian Team. All other camp riding instructors receive thorough training from Christie to ensure every rider receives a quality education in horsemanship. 3) High Quality Horses

In addition, campers improve their riding skills on high quality horses and ponies who are kept in the care of Christie's trusty Northfork staff all year long. They are used for riding lessons, clinics, and are ridden by the Michigan State Equestrian Team. All of these activities keep them in shape and well-mannered. Many of the horses come to Northfork with histories of winning show careers. Camp horses are selected carefully to ensure safety and to help create positive experiences for their riders and handlers.
